Lamborghini Fire Update

Late last night pictures were posted on Weibo showing a Lamborghini going up in flames on the fourth ring road.  Reminiscent of a mysterious crash involving a black Ferrari Spider that caused quite a storm last year.  That crash ended pretty badly, with the driver killed outright, and two female passengers (reported to be in "a state of undress") with him.  The car hit a bridge with such speed that it was cleaved in two, and the unfortunate sod in the passenger seat was left paralyzed.

There seems to be no foul play involved this time around.  According to Car China Times Lamborghinis have a habit of spontaneously combusting, to the point that Chinese insurance companies have been pushing away down-on-their-luck supercar owners because of the fault.

Still, with no reports of anyone killed or injured, it probably means that there's one more fuerdai off the roads, which is something to be thankful for.
